Each potential student application is carefully evaluated.

All applicants who can safely participate in a base camp/adventure therapy experience are considered.

Vantage Point by Aspiro is developed for students who are struggling with a wide range of emotional, behavioral and learning challenges.

Adolescents who struggle with emotional and behavioral problems often have undiagnosed learning or cognitive issues.

Vantage Point by Aspiro is the perfect place to clarify your child' issues and create a plan for intervention and success. Identifying undiscovered roadblocks is essential for intervention and future success.

Typical students have a variety of difficulties that might include:

• ADD, ADHD, Attention problems
• Executive Function Deficits
• Language based learning difficulties such as Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, reading disorders and
   receptive or expressive language problems
• Nonverbal Learning Disorders
• Pervasive Developmental Disorders such as Asperger Syndrome
• Excessive computer or electronics use – computer addictions • Mild traumatic brain injury
• Social difficulties
• Psychological and emotional difficulties
• Bipolar disorder
• Impulse control problems
• Identity problems
• Attachment problems
• Adoption issues
• Depression
• Anxiety
• Identity problems
• Family difficulties
• Behavioral problems

Exclusions

Adolescents who, for a variety of reasons, would present safety issues for themselves or other students in an outdoor program may not be appropriate.

The following conditions usually warrant further evaluation before accepting a student:

o Antisocial tendencies
o Dissociataive Disorders
o Significant suicide risk
o History of or tendency toward violence
o Intermittent Explosive Disorder
o Personality Disorders
o Psychosis
o Severe active eating disorders
